Health and Safety Policy Statement
Delta Mix Policy
Objectives:
To provide a safe and healthy working environment and prevent work-related accidents and illnesses.
To contribute to the safe and efficient operation of the Company’s activities by maintaining the integrity of buildings, plants and work equipment, preventing accidents and damage to property to ensure, as far as practicable, that the design, manufacture and instructions of the Company to users of its equipment and products result in safe operation and handling.
Provide adequate supervision, information, guidance and training to managers and employees to ensure that they are able to carry out their work activities, including their general and specific responsibilities under our health and safety management system.
To provide adequate control over health and safety risks arising from our business activities.
To ensure the safe handling, storage, transportation, use and disposal of hazardous substances and hazardous waste.
To minimize the impact of our operations on the environment.
To consult with our employees on matters affecting their health and safety.
To review and amend this policy as necessary at regular intervals.
Responsibilities:
Our health and safety management system arrangements allocate general and specific responsibilities to managers, employees and supporting activities. The Designated Person, who has overall responsibility for health and safety management within Egypt, will sign this Statement of Intent and in particular will ensure that health and safety management is integrated into the main management structure and normal business processes, that there is an appropriate health and safety organizational structure, and adequate resources. The Company’s Health and Safety Manager will monitor the health and safety management system; advise management and employees on safe systems of work, company procedures and policies, and current and pending health and safety legislation and requirements in Egypt under such legislation. All employees have a legal responsibility to cooperate with the Company so that it can fulfill its obligations under health and safety legislation.
Organization and procedures:
The detailed organizational arrangements for implementing this policy include the Company’s policies and procedures which are compiled in documents with the HS reference.
This policy confirms the Company’s intention to ensure that the health and safety of employees is a key objective of the Company and is subject to continuous review.
